History of the Tooth

History of the Tooth gives a complete description gives a complete description for a particular tooth. The patient's chart number, name, examiner, and examination date are found at the top. A picture of the tooth, either an image or outline appears with the tooth number beside it. Pocket Depth and Recession Warning levels are listed. Columns containing information about the tooth are located below the picture. They are listed from the first visit to most recent. The date of each visit is written at the top of each column. The mesial buccal (MB), buccal (B), distal buccal (DB), distal lingual (DL), lingual (L), and mesial lingual (ML) readings are displayed for Pocket Depth, Bleeding, Suppuration, Furcation, and Plaque.

Pocket Depth values are listed to the most left of the column. Only rounded values appear. Normal levels are black and warning and danger levels are red.

To the right of Pocket Depth, any sites where bleeding occurs is marked by a B.

Next suppuration is marked, represented by an S.

The level of furcation in then labeled by F= . Zero levels appear black, while anything higher appears in red.

Plaque is listed last in the columns. Any site where plaque occurs is marked with a P.

If all visits displayed contain only one-site recordings for Recession, the value is listed at the bottom of the column and is represented by R=. Normal values appear black, while warning and danger values appear red. If any visits contain multiple-site recordings for Recession, values are listed next to the corresponding site within the column.

Mobility is listed at the bottom of each column. It is represented by M=. Zero levels are printed in black and anything higher is printed in red.

If any visit does not contain complete data for the selected tooth, that item will simply be left blank.
