Importing from Older DOS Version

To import data from Florida Probe's DOS program, click the left mouse button on "File". Then highlight "Import database from DOS program. "You will then be told that the current chart must be closed before importing can take place. Press "Yes" to proceed with this operation. Next you will be asked if you would like to store the current patient's folder in the database.

Press the button corresponding to the way in which you will  import from the DOS program. Then press the okbtn.jpg (2694 bytes) button.

If you are importing  from the database that the DOS program on this computer uses, it will automatically import for you.

If you are importing from a backup on a floppy disk, it will then ask you to select either Drive A or Drive B from which you are importing. Press the button corresponding your drive and press the okbtn.jpg (2694 bytes) button.

If you are importing from a location that you specify manually, you will have to search for patient.log. Then press the open_btn.gif (223 bytes) button.

If a chart does not have a name or chart number, it will not import it until you enter either a name or chart number.

If there is more than one chart for a patient only new visits will be imported.

If a chart is corrupt it will tell you that the chart can not be imported.
