Medical Alert

Medical Alert enables the examiner to be aware of medical problems or risk factors prior to a probing. You may choose an alert from the list stored in the computer by highlighting the alert. You may also enter an alert that is not listed by pressing the Add button. You will then be asked to name the alert and provide a description and priority.

On the Medical Alerts page the alerts are listed in order from highest to lowest priority. Each time the chart is opened, high and medium priority alerts will appear in a medical alerts box. High alerts will also be signaled by a warning sound. If a patient has any medical alerts a red cross will appear on the upper, left corner of the Periodontal Page.

Medical Alerts can be removed by highlighting the alert then pressing the delete button. Medical Alerts may be edited.
