Mobility Mode
The mobility data can be entered at anytime during a
periodontal probing by either pressing Ctrl+M or pressing the Mobility Mode
button from the Probing Mode
Toolbar. Tooth Mobility is indicated 0-3 by using the center foot switch or by using
the keyboard in the same fashion that Furcations are entered.
A short press on the center foot switch enters 0; a longer press enters a 1; an even
longer press enters a 2; a very long press on the center foot switch enters a 3. Mobility
values may be entered from the keyboard using 0-3. Each time it reaches a new level of
mobility, the number or single "beep" will sound, depending on the Sound Options settings.
To make a correction, hold down either side foot switch to enter the Moving Mode. You may reach a help dialog for the Mobility Mode by simultaneously pressing both side foot switches for two seconds.
On the monitor and charts, Mobility will be labeled below the maxillary arch and above the mandibular arch. A zero reading will not sound but will appear on the screen as a black 0. All other readings (1 - 3) will be red.
