Creating a New Visit

There are three ways to create a new visit. When entering the Periodontal Page for the first time on a new patient, the new visit dialog is opened for you. If the current patient's folder already contains a previous visit, you may create a new visit by selecting the New Visit option in the Data Menu or by pressing the New Visit button in the Periodontal Toolbar.

You may select which types of data you want to record for this visit. The current date and the examiner's name (from the Personal Page) will be automatically inserted for you. Depending on your probe type, recession may not be an available option.

Whenever you are recording pocket depth, you may choose to do a verification pass.

Your selected options will be remembered as the defaults for the next visit. The options can be changed before each visit.
