Adding a New Patient
To add a new patient, either select New Patient on the File Menu,
press the New Patient button
on the Main Toolbar, or press the
button on the patient Lookup dialog. You will be
prompted "Yes" or "No" to store the current patient's chart to the
database. Then, the personal page will be displayed with all fields empty, ready to record
a new patient. The Default Examiner (set under the Personal Page Options) will be entered as the examiner's
name.
Some fields contain a drop-down list of items that you have stored previously. These fields are race, city, state, zip code, insurance, referring doctor, and examiner. You may select an item from the list or add a new one by typing it into the box. There is also an area to list Medical Alerts.
If you have a video capture device connected to your computer, you
may capture an image (photograph) of the patient by pressing the
button.
