Probe Options

Probe Options can be accessed by pressing the Options button from the Main Toolbar. Then click the left mouse button on the "Probe Options" file tab. The three Probe Options are:

Probe Disable
Probe Disable will allow you to use this program without the Florida Probe (keyboard entry). The probe can be re-enabled (see Establish Connection).

Probe Port (Serial or Communication Port)
Probe Port is where the probe is physically connected to the computer. The software will attempt to automatically select the correct port for you the first time the probe is needed (either when opening the program or when opening the Periodontal Page).

Establish Connection
Establish Connection can be used to create a connection with the Florida Probe. This is used if the Probe has been disabled. Uncheck the Disable Probe box and press the Establish Connection button. You can also press this button if the probe was not working for some reason when the program was turned on. Do not press any foot switches while establishing a connection.
